Display Port Daisy Chain 2 Dell U2415 Monitors - Basic Question

Both U2415 monitors have 2 x HDMI IN ports, a DP IN port, a DP OUT port and a mini-DP IN port. My PC's graphics card has only HDMI, DVI-I, and VGA ports. If I connect Monitor #1 to my PC using HDMI, can I still daisy chain from Monitor #1 to Monitor #2, using #1's DP OUT to #2's mini-DP IN port?

I suspected this was the reason why my second monitor isn't working. I had looked all over for this explanation, but couldn't find this important technical detail point clearly stated anywhere in writing. Thanks much.
