Hey guys i'm almost done setting up my rig but i'm stuck at the part where my Dell U2414H monitor flashes a message 'No Display Port Cable..The display will go into power save mode in 5 minutes'. To my understanding i've connected the mini DP cable to the 'DP in' slot of the monitor and the other end (DP) to the side of my Graphics Card (GTX 970). It still gives the error. What am i doing wrong? Please help!
Oh, and i tried holding down the arrow button and changed the setting DP 1.2 to 'enable'. Still no joy.

I consulted an engineer and it turns out that an HDMI cable is the best option that works so he put that in instead. Working like a charm now, although i really wanted the DP cable to work since that's sort of a newer invention, without having to rely on HDMI but that's just me. Hope this helps. :)

Not really a solution, but having the same issue here. Dell posted this possible solution, but this menu option does not work for me (also U2414H) and using a HDMI connection I already disabled the 1.2 version of DP.

Follow these steps to disable DP1.2 on the U2414H with NO signal input

Buttons =
Preset, Brightness, Menu, Exit, Power

When you press the Menu button, the buttons then are =
Up arrow, Down arrow, Check OK, Back, Power

* Turn off the monitor
* Unplug all video input cabling from the U2414H
* Turn on the monitor
* Press the Menu button
* Press the Check OK button (3rd from left) and HOLD for 15 seconds
* Then disable DP 1.2

However, I'm wondering: can it be a DP to miniDP issue? I use the standard cable to connect my notebook (DP) to U2414H (miniDP)
