Display port to DVI not working

I recently purchased a Monoprice 144hz 1440p monitor. The monitor came with a 2.0 HDMi that does not support 1440p @ 144hz. I purchased a Display port to DVI cable to fix this problem. I plugged the DVI into my computer and the display port into my monitor. My monitor does not have a DVI, it only has HDMI's and a display port. My computer also does not have any display ports. I have a GTX 1070 TI. Any help would be extremely appreciated!

Any 1070 Ti should have DisplayPort. Check again.
