Display Port to HDMI Adapter

My monitor has a DisplayPort output and my laptop has an HDMI input. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find an adapter that has input of Female DisplayPort and output of Male HDMI? I've found many of the reverse adapters but having trouble finding this one. Thanks

Other way around.
Your monitor has an Input, your laptop has an output.

You could use an adapter, but they also make cables that are displayport on one end and hdmi on the other end. The input on the monitor and the output on the laptop are both female, so a standard male to male cable is all you need.

If your laptop supports 4k output though and you use an adapter, it may only do 1080/1200p on the monitor.

Thanks. I did see a cable online but my work laptop has a display port output and I thought it would be easier to use an adapter than unplugging the cable from the monitor each time.

Theres not really a market for adapters going from HDMI to DP but demand for such an adapter is growing. There is however a market for DP to HDMI and cables available but that doesn't help you. Club3D is the better known brand that actually works properly.

Keep an eye on this thread, 5th page and onward. There are a couple adapters popping up but your laptop must have HDMI 2 for these pricey adapters to work. Talking $150 to $200. Still early days.

Oh cool so they've made an adapter. Well at the bottom of that link theres a listings of where to buy, across from specifications.
