Display problem DVI-D TO VGA

why is my VGA cable with a extension (VGA FEMALE TO DVI-D 24+1 MALE ) connected to my monitor and it was not working ? the vga cable works find i tested it with another laptop anyone know solution ? Can a 1050ti support vga ?Do i need to set resolution or what ?

DVI-D on a 1050TI is digital only. There is not analog output (ie VGA).

So your adapter needs to be "active" to convert the signal from digital out to analog in.

That video card only outputs digital signal over the DVI port. If you need VGA, you could also try a HDMI to VGA adapter. Just because the cable works with a laptop it doesn't mean it will work with your current card as older devices are most likely to output analog signal over DVI.

Read customer comments about that product. It's fake, non-functional device.
