Hopefully someone can help. I tried updating the nvidia drivers to the 9500GT but no luck. When starting the PC up I can't tell what to do. I got into some kind of recovery mode I think but I can't see the on screen instruction. I tried plugging the chord into the integrated graphics one I think but it was blank.

Sorry bout not resizing but here are pics of the problem:

Anyone have any tips?

■The monitor works just fine, I use it with another computer and it works fine
■I've only used it just for charging my ipod touch without a monitor plugged into it for the last 6 months and now I come back to it and it is like this. I don't think it is a virus but you never know...
■I had a legal copy of XP when I first got it but I updated to vista and hated it then when going back to XP I didn't have a legal copy to use so I had to use a torrented copy so I always left that off. Are there any free scanners that you might recommend?
■The 9500GT doesn't seem to be overheating at all.

Solution
You are they only one that can answer the acid question but it sure looks like there is something wrong with your card. You will have to remove the 9500 before using/activating the integrated.

Alright thanks I'll do that and see if the graphics change. If so is there something that could fix the card? Or am I going to be forced to buy a new card, which is fine if I have to.

His Probation officer can also awnser that question.

Oooh pretty glitch! I havent seen that problem in years and never on the windows desktop before, does it look strange while POSTing? If so then its definitely a hardware problem. One thing to try doing, take out the card, put the card back in. Reseating it can fix a lot of poor contact issues.
