Display reboots randomly (HELP!)

Dell monitor randomly reboots, sometimes it happens once and doesn't happen again for a while, and sometimes it happens time after time. I can confirm it is not related to my pc itself. It happened with my old gpu, laptop, and other desktop. I have checked all the connections, used a different dvi cable and power cable yet the problem still persists. HELP! It is not an old monitor, and it does not have a lot of hours on it.

If you haven't done so , I would update the monitor drivers. You have already addressed the usual suspects. I would do the same for the graphics card (just to cover all of the bases).

It may be a defective monitor. If it is still with the return period, that would be the best alternative. After that the best option is warranty repair.

If there is a chance that the electrical circuit is questionable you can use an extension cord to move the monitor to another circuit to test it. If you have access to another system, you can switch monitors (to completely isolate the monitor move only the monitor).

Yes. In addition there are color profiles to improve your monitor display (usually for higher end monitors). What is the specific monitor model? It may be more of a utility than a driver.

It is by no means a high end panel, it is a Dell IN2030M.

Here is the Dell troubleshooting page for the Dell IN2030M monitor. They recommend resetting the monitor. Shutdown the PC and unplug the system. Turn the monitor off and unplug all of the monitors. Wait a minute or so, then plug everything back in and start the system That should reset everything .

try VGA instead of DVI to test if it´s just a DVI related problem
