Hey all,

So I'm rounding off my build and one of my last worries is the monitor, because I'm spending a lot on this build I want a solid monitor that isn't too much, I do intend on buying a 144hz monitor in the future along with a second gtx 970.

Could anyone suggest a monitor? I've been looking at both Samsung S24D390HL and the Asus VX229H, could anyone provide some feedback as to their performance for gaming.

Monitor: Asus VX238H 23.0" Monitor (£137.80 @ Amazon UK)

Thanks in advance!

Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q 144Hz 27.0"

I LOVE this monitor. It is expensive, but it is also a beast! Worth every single dollar I spent, in my opinion. The colors are crisp. The gameplay is smooth. The visuals just melt in your eyes. If you can afford it, BUY THIS MONITOR!

Crisp 27-inch, 2560 x 1440 visuals combined with fast 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, made smooth by NVIDIA G-SYNC technology. This is the goods!

Apologies for the really late reply, kind of lost track of this thread because it wasn't answered for a while. Thank you for your reply first of all, the only one who replied to this thread :).

I'd definitely go for that monitor in a heartbeat but i just can't justify the high cost, thank you for the recommendation. I was however able to up my budget a little and go for the Asus VG248QE 144Hz 24.0" Monitor straight of the bat, it's a little cheaper than the Benq xl2430t that I was planning to buy in the future but is just as highly rated, bar the materials that the benq takes the lead with the metal stand.

Cheers for the reply!
