I've been on the market for a monitor, and i have found a nice 189 dollar ultrawide monitor, now I will be gaming and editing using this, so I really want this monitor for the productivity benifits. But i also want a decent casual gaming experience. The response time is 5ms, would that interfere with the gaming performance, and if so, what monitor should i use?

Solution
Unless you're playing competitively, or are extremely finicky, 5ms is ok for gaming. Obviously lower is more desirable, but 5ms isn't all that terrible. Anything 5ms or lower is probably acceptable.

What is the model of the unit you are looking at and what is your graphics card model?

Looks like a pretty decent unit. Couple of things though. If this is for gaming, then you're going to find yourself needing to use windowed mode in a lot of games because a lot of them won't support that resolution natively. Two, on games that do, it's going to be a lot more demanding than a standard 1920x1080 monitor, because your GPU card is going to have to support a much higher pixel count, so plan on reducing settings when that's the case.

Also, better make sure you have enough outlets at hand because apparently that power cable is big and clunky, and tends to take up or block the second outlet. I don't know on that, but I saw it on more than one review.
