I have a GTX 980ti Giga Windforce, Ive been getting at times my displays will go black and not be able to get them back on unless i hard shutoff and reboot...even putting it to sleep and turning it back on will not work. During this issue my computer is on and i can hear whatever i was doing, but cannot see it. Was wondering if anyone had any insight. Seems to happen when i load into games and such(hint?), cause as of now i am writing with the computer with no issues.

Win 8.1 Pro
Gtx 980ti Windforce
16gb(8x2) hyper x ddr3
i5 4690k
corsair 750w psu

Thanks Rob.

Solution
Try uninstalling tyour drivers using display driver uninstaller and reinstalling your drivers using the latest found off Nvidia or Gigabyte. If you're on the latest drivers then revert to the last known stable drivers. We don't know your motherboard make and model but have you made sure your BIOS and chipset drivers are up to date?

Since when have you been experiencing the issue, after a GPU card upgrade or after the assembly?
