So I recently bought the ROG Maximus VI Hero because I am building a new computer. I put it together, and now I get a legacy boot event? And my display isn't showing anything, and yes I know it all works. The Graphics card has 2 slots for power, a 3 pin, and a 4 pin. I had been doing this all from the 4 pin, and so I decided, heck why not try the 3 pin, and when i tried that the 3 pin didn't turn the graphics card on, and it actually made stuff appear on my screen, telling me to plug in the power supply to my graphics card, so now I'm back to where I was stuck... still don't know how to fix this, and yes I've updated my BIOS, and no theres no OS on my hard drive, but that shouldn't be the case because it should still be popping up the motherboard's menu screen or whatever you want to call it. Please help!

It's all new, and I have done that too, I have even tried 1 stick at a time, and in each different slot. Still no luck :/

I've never seen a gpu with a 3-pin and 4-pin power connection, but most new higher end gpus will require a 6-pin and an 8-pin connector. Of every gpu or other component I have dealt with, what they all had in common was a need for all Power connections to be used. This being said, both the (3-pin and 4-pin) power connectors should be used at the same time for proper usage
