I plan on getting a 4K 144Hz monitor. I've heard that you need a good cable to go with a high end monitor. Can you recommend a good brand?

The monitor should come with a cable. There's no reason why it shouldn't come with an adequate Displayport cable because Hdmi certainly isn't capable of achieving this yet.

If need a cable, HBR3 standard DP cable by Accell or Club3D. Lookup Vesa (DP creators) certified brands.
