Displayport- Link Adapter Failure (Only During Gaming)

Hi,
I'm getting a display port link adapter failure on one of my Monitors (I know its this one as CCC stops extending to it (it does come back if I go in and Extend it again).
My Rig is:
MSI R9 295x2 8GB
MSI Z97 XPower AC
Intel I7 4790K
Corsair AX-1200
Corsair Vengence 16GB 2400MHZ

The Monitor is a Benq Montior, it comes out of my card as a MiniDisplay port to DVI-HDMI into another DVI as the Monitor doesn't have HDMI (Only DVI). I was wondering if it could be the Adapater that I have on it the other end that changes it from HDMI to DVI.

As I said its only while gaming which is what I find odd, and it does it on all games.

The error message says "The system detected a link failure and cannot set the requested resolution and refresh rate on your displayport display.

Take the hdmi part of the converter out of the picture, IT IS THE PROBLEM. Getting that out of the way, it's hard to say what would be the best step for you to make this work, you need to check the documentation of your GPU and see what method it allows for converting to DVI.

Your GPU should support DVI natively why are you converting from a mini DisplayPort?

It does support DVI natively, but I have one Screen already in as DVI. So I have to convert from MiniDP.
So it goes from the Card. MiniDP- DVI-HDMI-DVI. So i have an adapter on the other end that converts the HDMI back to DVI..
