Dear Experts...
I am brand new to PC building, so please excuse my ignorance when I ask this question....
I am in the process of trying to build a gamer's pc. I installed the following components:
AMD Ryzen 5 3600X CPU
MSI MPG x570 gaming plus motherboard
EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Graphics GPU
Everything looks to be seated properly in their respective slots.
I am trying to hook up an Asus PG279Q 27" monitor using the HDMI to HDMI connection plugging it into the HDMI slot of the GPU card in the back of the computer.
I also tried the DP to HDMI connection too plugging it in the same way
I have no operating system installed on it yet, but plan to install Windows 10 64 bit Home Ed.
I have not hooked up a keyboard as of yet.
The error msg I am getting is "No DP Input Detected"
Can anyone offer me tips on what I can do to try and solve? I am completely clueless. Where should I start?
