Hey everyone
I just bought an upgrade from AMD's 380X to the amazing GTX 1080Ti
I got the card today and I tried to hook up both monitors to the DisplayPort.
one of them seems to work because the other one has no signal (for some reason when I hook up the 2nd display to the (what I assume) dead DP port, it goes immediately to sleep mode and there is no signal.
Windows and NVidia control panel doesn't detect the display as well.
I am using the same cables that I got with my 2 monitors (both of them are Dell U2414H)
if I swap the cables then it happens the same but to the other monitor.

is one of the DisplayPorts dead?
the cable I am using is the one I got with my monitor (DP-gpu to mini DP-monitor)
I have 2 videos that describe my problem:
https://goo.gl/qKS6z7 - basically in this video I connect one of my monitors to the gpu and it works
https://goo.gl/5c7FnT - in this video it continues from the same spot. but this time I disconnect the monitor from the dp and move it to the other one, so does it gets no signal.

for those who ask, yes I installed the drivers, uninstalled my amd drivers and software.
my rig:
intel i7 6700k (not OC'ed or anything)
gigabyte z170mx gaming 5 mobo
2X8 kit of ram (hyper x 2133mhz)
noctua cpu cooler NH-U12P
seasonic +80 gold 650W modular psu
just hdds and ssds

graphics card
MSI GeForce GTX 1080Ti DUKE 11G OC

monitors:
2x dell U2414H

I hope that you guys can find a solution,I've been dealing with the problem for two days; and I am so frustrated, I ordered the card from the US and I don't live there (so imagine what it will be to send it back)

Solution
Check if there MSI has repair center in your country, or anything like that. Since this is clearly card malfunction, you can deal directly with MSI. Failing that, you will need to check with newegg, how to resolve that. Generally, since its faulty card and not caused by you, I would expect them to pay shipping costs, but maybe they have different point of view.
Let's make it clear: when you connect just one monitor to say port A, it works. And when you connect the same monitor to port B, no signal. All while second monitor is not connected at all. Correct?
And what happens if you start machine with both monitors connected - at BIOS and at Windows?

yes, and if i connect both monitors, it happens the same (just no signal on the port that i think is not working)
if i start the machine with monitors connected nothing happens, the only thing that happens is what i said above

the cables are new and fresh, i don't think it's a cable problem

that's a good point, tho i tried with other cables and no signal

well it's a major problem then,
i ordered the card from newegg, and i don't live in the US (some friend were there and they bought it for me)
is it covered by the importer to my country? or i have to ship it back to the US? (manufacturer warranty)
