Question DisplayPort Protruding and won't allow the DP cable to go all the way In

Hi Guys,

I hope someone can help me with this. I bought an Optix MAG321CQR monitor from a store and right away noticed that the DP slot at the back of the monitor is protruding
and won't allow the DP cable to go all the way in. Is that normal? Won't that cause any issues in the future? The store claims that this is NOT a factory defect and it is
designed that way. Is this true? I have seen the same model on tech deals and there is no protrusion of the DP slot at the back. the link to the DP of my Optix MAG321CQR is:

ask them to exchange the monitor to a similar one if they say no contact maker of it with picture and ask this to be solve .

They did already say no so I have to contact MSI directly?

As long as the DP works it's fine. Nothing to worry about, unless nothing shows on the display.

let see what msi will tell you since all picture from this monitor are not clear enough to tell if the are the same as your .

thank you guys! I had the store check it out and it was normal as per them. I've had no display issues so I guess all is fine

It is normal. DisplayPort receptacles are longer than HDMI receptacles, so if they are mounted to the same board in perpendicular configuration then they will protrude farther.
