So I am in a pickle here and cannot seem to find what I am looking for. Hoping that there are people out there that can point me in the right direction! Here is my scenario and what I am looking for:

I have a 65" 4K Samsung Q7 TV in my living room and a VR/Media PC I made from leftover/spare parts from a previous build with an HTC Vive hooked up. I am looking for a cable that will run from the DisplayPort of my GFX card to the HDMI of the TV and will run in 4K (3840 x 2160) @ 60Hz. The reason I NEED this cable is that the HTC Vive needs to be plugged into the HDMI output slot of the GFX card and cannot have an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter on it (this causes the Vive to go all cattywompus, I've tried already), I have already tried some cables but they are ALL Uni-Directional where the HDMI needs to be in the PC and the DisplayPort needs to be in the display. That cannot happen as obviously, my TV doesn't have DisplayPort and only has HDMI.

Does anyone have a lead on a cable that will work for me!? I am willing to spend a decent amount of money on something that is proven to work. I have tried other cables, and even adapters. All fail miserably. The closest I got, and what I use now, is an adapter that will cause the TV screen to turn off and on a few times. It works about 95% of the time, but it is super annoying. Trying to find a permanent solution!

Here are specs:
- Windows 10
- Asus Fatality Mobo (can't recall the exact one ATM, unfortunately)
- i7-4790k (water cooled by H60)
- 32GB DDR3
- EVGA Hybrid water-cooled GTX 1080 ti
- 500gb Samsung SSD, 2TB WD HDD, 2 x 8TB WD External HDD
- 65" Samsung Q7 QLED 4K TV

Thank you in advance!

I don't remember the exact one, but it is made by Benfei. 4K converter, all that stuff. I think the converter/adapter itself is just a bad one maybe..

I will get this one and hope that it works! Looks very promising. I was hoping to avoid the whole adapter thing and get a cable, but it looks like this might be my best option.

** edit ** I was able to find the one that you linked above on Amazon for only $27. Will be here in two days and I will update the thread once I get some playtime on it.

Thank you for the responses!

Hello. Any updates? Did this adapter work for you in the end?
I am also looking for the same thing right now for my Oculus Rift VR setup. So would be very helpful if you had an update. Thanks

It ended up working great. You have to use the adapter for your cable for the gfx card to TV and then the VR needs to be plugged directly into the gfx card. You cannot use an adapter between the VR and card, it makes things go cattywompus. Hopefully it works for you too!

Thanks a lot! Yeah, I intend to use it between my monitor-gpu. Will keep the gpu hdmi just for VR
