So i got a fancy graphics card, rtx 2070, and my monitor can only take HDMI. Does it make sense to get a displayport to hdmi adapter?

If I do this am I better off just using hdmi to htmi off the card or is there actually some advantage to going displayport (active adapter) to hdmi?

Solution
No there is not a advantage at all. Display port is always better if you have 144hz monitor cause some times you cant reach 144hz with hdmi or really high resolutions i think. But by telling your monitor have only hdmi port i guess its not more than 60-75hz.
