I am trying to display my desktop on my TV. My laptop does not have a HDMI port. I purchased the displayport to hdmi cable above. The TV does not detect the computer. I have updated drivers, unplugged the tv for minutes, troubleshooted for hours. I have a feeling i need an active adapter, or my displayport is faulty. Anyways any direction would help.
