Displayport to HDMI TV

I have an HP PC with Nvidia Graphics Card and inbuilt card. On the Nvidia I have 2 monitors running via VGA. I also have a displayport socket which is on the onboard card. I am trying to run this to my PC using DP to HDMI adaptor, but I get no signal on the TV and the PC does not seem to register the port. Any ideas?

You cannot use both GPUs at the same time.

When a PCI/PCIe graphics card is installed and detected, the integrated GPU is automatically disabled to prevent resource and driver conflicts.

The integrated GPU will therefore only work when the Nvidia card is removed.

So for a multi-monitor setup, all the monitors must be connected to the Nvidia card (maximum number of monitors you can use depends on how many that particular Nvidia card supports).
