Displays not fully off despite powered down.

Hi, I have a T440 Lenovo laptop. When powered off the bottom right hand screen still retains a charge and radiates a small amount of light (I only noticed in a dark room one night). If I disconnect the power cable and battery the screen goes totally black. Is my power supply or controller damaged?

Sure that the screen isn't just reflecting a status LED that's still on in the upper right corner of the main laptop body?

Thanks for your reply. The LCD panel appears to be receiving a small amount of current, and is nearly imperceptible radiating white light from the bottom corner. Pulling out the battery, the botton right part of the screen fades to pure black. It is not a reflection.

I guess some short circuit. I checked the back of the screen and it has a small dent in it, I guess from damage in transport at one time or another. That could explain it, but not sure what if anything I should do as it is still 100% usable.

Well, if all else seems well don't think I'd mess with it.
