Hi, hello.
I'm in a bit of a pickle.

I live in a third world country. And as such, we have no recycling centers here. Specifically for lithium batteries there are 0, none, nada.

And well, I do have a few inflated lithium cells that I need to dispose of, That I've been keeping in a glass container on my yard as a temporary measure.

However, today I had to remove an inflated cell and during the removal, it got punctured. I don't know if these cells act like old NiMH cells, where they combust on contact with oxygen.

So, I need to dispose of these cells, pronto.

Any ideas on what's the best option to dispose of them? A more secure way to do so in my circumstances? I don't really want a trash compacter truck to catch flames, haha.

Check to see if any local electronics stores will take them.
No luck. Amid the COVID pandemic, almost, if not all of the stores are closed.

And, I'm pretty sure all of them dispose them by throwing old cells in the bin.
Although, I must admit it's not a bad idea to give(?) them the used cells. If a bin catches fire it's theirs, not mine (lol).
