[SOLVED] Distance from Cable Modem to Wireless Router/Switch

I have a cable modem installed in a different part of the building. I want to have my wireless router/Switch close to my computers to enable me manipulate/debug or connect new devices necessary without going to other part of building. Is there a limitation on the length of Cat 5 cable that is used to connect from modem to the router/switch?

100meters is too long, you can do fiber optic. If both parts of the building have line of sight to each other, you could do something like a Ubiquity NanoBeam wireless link.
