Hello everybody.
I recently have been having a very frustrating problem. My audio up until very early this morning (1:00a (eastern)) has been great. Now, whenever I try to watch a YT video, or play Battlefield 4. Everything is very distorted, like the bass is turned up all the way. When I plug headphones in, it sometimes doesn't even send an output, or they're just disgustingly distorted. I've already disabled all sound effects under "enhancements". I've already uninstalled my drivers, and installed the most updated driver. I've even tried installing an older driver with no luck. I was dual-booting Windows 7 and Ubuntu; The sound was distorted on both. I backed up my files, re-formatted my hard drive, freshly installed Windows 7, and there still is distortion. I tried 2 different headphones and 2 different sets of speakers and to no avail. I did, however, try a USB pair of headphones and the sound is crystal clear. I'm assuming it's a hardware problem? Something to do with the green headphones audio output ? Yes, I have tried both the front and back headphone jacks. I opened up my case and did a "resitting" of my RAM and GPU. I'm assuming this is a hardware issue, related to the motherboard? I JUST DON'T KNOW!
I did update a registry key , but I don't know if it's relevant in this situation. Especially since I reinstalled Windows, and Ubuntu had the same exact problem.
