Distorted Recording Audio

Okay, so I've been trying to record some videos on my PC using a number of different recording software. At first, I was using Nvidia Shadow Play, but I started to notice an echo in the recordings. I looked the issue up and tried to solve it, but nothing worked. I figured it was just Shadow Play, so I attempted to use Game Bar on Windows 10. The problem of bad audio in recordings persisted. I figured it was just bad software, as Shadow Play and Game Bar are obviously not go to recording software. I decided to try Fraps since a ton of people recommend it, but when I dropped the video into an editing software, it still had the echo! I have no clue what is going on but it must be something in my settings. The game audio I hear coming from both my speakers and my headphones is crystal clear, yet the audio in a recording is awful. Does anyone know of a solution?

Are you recording with mic? Often times mic placement, mic volume, or quality of mic can cause this. It's due to the mic picking up room sounds.
