Please help me spec out what exact hardware I need (with links). I can manage to set up the software, but find myself at a loss for what hardware is needed.

Object:

Build a pfSense router which is kept in a 1U rack

Requirements:
- 100/100 speeds (preferrably more)
- 16 ports (so it can act as a switch for all devices in my home)
- motherboard with integrated processor (and preferably video card) powerful enough to run everything over OpenVPN
- 1U rack with PSU built in
- no overheating
- small SSD

Solution
linux firewalls in general have better support for older hardware. I've run into a lot of problems with NIC drivers before. some integrated NIC's are simply not supported. you can always get around that issue with PCI NICs. Intel NIC are almost always supported.
