A friend an I are trying to set up a 1U DL360 to run some game servers for us. The machine works great, but it seems it needs a newer video card to supports some games we want to play. ... So my problem is, when the card (32mb Nvidia TnT2) and the dip switch is set to disable onbarod video, it seems to lock out the Scsi3 controller. I believe I have the pci video card in the correct slot, i.g. not the 64bit one but the 32. If anyone has some pointers let me know, and sorry for the long and vauge post for those who dont give a crap.. THX

It seems that every time I reboot my wallet gets smaller. I append: No longer interested in speed, just the mere idea that everything should perform at its full potential.

Couldn't you just run dedicated servers on it? A dedicated server never requires any graphical power, at least not one for any game I've seen.
About as high as a new PCI video card gets is an FX5200, MX4000, or Radeon 9250. There might be an FX5500 around somewhere but I'm not sure on that. Either way none of those are very powerful by todays standards.
