I am considering buying a basic video card for a very old desk top like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222369359629?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
It seems to have a dual output connector To which a splitter cable would attach.
My monitor has vga and DVI input so a convertor cable would be needed.
My Problem though is that I want connection only to a single monitor- No need to attach this card to a second monitor.
Please advise if video cards with such dual output that seems like DMS-59 to me, would work just as fine when connected via single end of a splitter cable. Thanks
