Hello :)

Sometime after I open my pc, (usually after 2hours+) I start having DNS errors, while trying to open webpages with any browser. As time passes, this issue is starting to get more and more persistent and often. If I restart my pc the problem goes away, until it reappears after 2 hours+.

It is worth noting, that I also have a laptop using the same network and I don't have any problems whatsoever with it, at the same time.

To solve the problem so far I have tried:
updating the ethernet drivers and when that didn't work change the ethernet port I was using
run a dns benchmark and change the dns I was using accordingly (none of the suggested dns services made the issue go away)

I am using windows 7 64bit and I have a cl-110 siemens modem and a TP-link WR1043ND router

edit: realized I didn't write my pc specs:
i7 920 cpu
gtx 460 gainward gpu
6gb corsair vengeance ram
850 watt psu
asus rampage II extreme mobo

Hello and thanks for your answer :)
I am trying to keep my pc as safe as possible and I am runnng zone alarm firewall and kaspersky antivirus with which I regularly scan my system.
I tried some malwarebytes scans, after reading your post, as well and nothing showed up.
When the problem re-appears I will try DNS flush and let you know what happens !

thanks again !

Hello again,
After the problem reappeared I tried the dns flush and nothing apparent changed. I was still having dns errors that only stopped after a reboot.

Any other ideas?
If nothing else works I will eventually try formatting, but I really don't wanna resort to that >_<

I should have asked this earlier, but what are the errors you're getting?

Can you run the following command in DOS prompt before and during the problem please?
Code:
ipconfig /all
Please post the separate ipconfig results (screenshots are ok if this is easier).

Hello,
I was late to reply because the issue didn't appear for some days due to me not being on the pc for a long time in a row.
@davidchase I have already tried both automatically assigned dns and static dns and I face the problem with both settings ;(
@stormnexus The errors I am getting are browsers errors while browsing. Firefox gets server not found error, while chrome says unable to resolve the server's dns address.
Did the ipconfig/all and the results I got are those:
hfEwMCM.png

(MAC address blackened)
Posting only one pic because they were completely identical before and during the problem.

Ok, I think it's the DNS server you have set locally... You need to change your DNS settings on the computer manually (or on the router). Internal DNS servers are ok, but when you're having problems like this, I would recommend using an external dns server like Google.

8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 are two external Google DNS servers that are always available and fast.

Let us know how that goes.

*I recommend getting IP automatically and setting the DNS servers here. I would also disable IPv6 because you're probably not using it. I have seen this cause conflicts in the past as well (not DNS issues before, but if all else fails, it's worth a try).

Go into your Network adapters properties and uncheck "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPV6)". If the problems still exist check event viewer under windows Logs>System for any events with the source "DNS Client Events" around the time you booted the computer with this issue happening and post the information you see for Event ID, EventData, and Provider name.
