Anyone seen this event id?
It says "The DNS server encountered an invalid DNS update message from
192.168.1.52. The packet was rejected."

The Microsoft resolution says that it should be coming from a win 95 or 98
pc that has a name with an invalid character, but this is a Windows 2000
server.

Any idea's????

Does that server have an underscore in its hostname?

No it doesn't have any special characters.

192.168.1.52 is very likely your DHCP server. It's trying to register a
record for a computer that has invalid characters in its name. If this is
the case, I'd suggest you just ignore the error.
