As said .

Do all AMD AM4 motherboards support ECC memory or should I be careful when choosing one for workstation use ? I understand that if the CPU does support ECC , some motherboard does not enable it in bios .. is it right?

Solution
Thats the problem, they dont seem care to test ECC RAM much in QVL lists ... also ECC RAM can work in non ECC mode , I need to know for sure it is being used.
I could not find DDR4 3200 ECC in any QVL outside one motherboard from Asrock which is a server board and not suitable for workstations.

Motherboards Documentation does not say anything about ECC and I am lost on the matter.
What about this board -- https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Pro-WS-X570-ACE/

That appears to be correct. I would look at higher end model motherboards as a first filter. Avoid the A series chipset entirely. Doublecheck any B series boards. X boards are probably going to be the most likely to offer support, but it is still best to doublecheck.

Check the QVL list of memory for the boards in question, that will be quite definitive I would hope.

Thanks for the link , but still I cant find DDR4 - 3200 ECC in the QVL List at all , should I try my luck with any kit ? I am planning of using 32GBX4 =128GB ECC DDR4 3200

This is the only 32GB ECC Unbuffered DDR4 3200 I could find from Kingston

https://www.kingston.com/en/memory/search?partId=KSM32ED8/32ME

should I try my luck ? it is not in the QVL

I understand registered ECC wont run on this right ? only unbuffered ECC ?

Servers generally run 2933 max. That is where the market for ECC is. That would be my target speed recommendation.
