Do all Laptops with 8th gen Intel CPU support SATA3 for their 2.5" drive ?

I am looking to buy this laptop , I want to swap the HDD with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD...


if I buy a 2.5" SATA3 SSD and replace the HDD with it, will the 2.5" SSD work at SATA3 Speeds(6Gb/sec) ? or SATA2 speeds(3Gb/sec) ?

is the 2.5" SATA connector/interface in the laptop capable of running at SATA3 speeds(6Gb/sec) when paired with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD ?

on page 84 of the laptop's manual, it says that the interface for the 2.5" drive is SATA, doesn't mention whether it is SATA2 or SATA3....



it also says that the maximum synchronous speed is 300 MB/sec .... does this mean that the interface is SATA2 ?



I find it odd because almost all modern laptops support SATA3 for their 2.5" drives...

SATA 3 by default as that is what the chipset supports
Though 300MB/s is SATA 2 spec

The interface is SATA 2.

You can use a SATA 3 drive but it will only run at SATA 2 speeds.

I don't think so because it wouldn't make a lot of sense for them to sell a laptop with a SATA 3 interface and a SATA 2 drive.

I think it "should" be SATA 3 per 8th gen etc....but then this doesn't make sense "it also says that the maximum synchronous speed is 300 MB/sec".

It appears they are selling a laptop with a SATA 3 MB and a SATA 2 HDD which I find odd...but that's what it looks like.
