Do case fans need to run on standard with a water cooler

Hi,

This is my first time posting here, so this may sound dumb.

I have a i7-5820K processor on an ASRock X99 killer motherboard with two Superclocked EVGA GTX 970 with ACX 2.0 coolers on them. My case has four 120mm fans (two in the front, two in the top).

My question is: Do I need to have my fans on even standard mode even though I have a water-cooled processor and ACX 2.0 coolers on my graphics card.

I am asking because the fans are somewhat loud, and if I can lower the speed they wouldn't be a problem.

Thanks in advance.

So you have A small 120mm or 140mm radiator?

I'd put it on the front or top. I doubt that you need all four fans. Two for intake And the radiator for exhaust on the top might do it.

In response to your original question, you can run the fans a lower speed if you want to (or replace two 120mms with a single 200mm if your case will take it)
The ACX coolers dump heat into the case. It needs to be expelled. Where is your radiator mounted?

Running the fans slower may help. Which fans are too loud, if it is those on the GPU's, there may be nothing you can do. In particular, the card nearest the CPU my have airflow obstructed by the second card and run a lot warmer. What do the temperatures look like?

My radiator is on the back, and my GPUs under load barely get to 70C, and its not the fans on my GPUs its case fans, i have my GPU fans set to quiet because they very rarely get to high temps.
