So I just transferred to AIO, my most feared type of cooling lol. I have the MSI RTX 2060Super gaming x. It has a metal backplate. Even though I fear aio coolers, I really like how they look so I was pondering on some ideas that could protect atleast the gpu incase of leaks. I thought of covering all the holes on the gpu's back with... stickers? Including the part on the pcie slot and gpu power. E V E R Y. H O L E. T H E R E. I S. could this protect the gpu from aio leaks? Or is this a bad idea for the gpu like could it damage it or result in really high temps?

I know that some would just say just go back to air coolers. Yup was already thinking and wanted the cryorig quad lumi because it offers the nicest aesthetic by far. Or could you recommend any?

But if you can, please skip the just go air cooler answer directly. I really like the aesthetics of aio so if you have ideas kindly advice me as I really wanted to stay with AIO. Thank you.

I doubt it would cause any problems for you, but its probably not a viable solution to your concerns.
You would need to cover every hole, such as mounting points, vents, PCIe power, etc, and even then all you would do is buy yourself a few more seconds in the event of a full on leak.
Your GPU only has so much surface area, next stop would be over the edges into the I/O ports, PCIe lane, or straight into the PSU.
This is also assuming it leaks right above the GPU, if it leaks at the block it goes straight into the motherboard and socket, or at the radiator and drips over the entire case.

AIO leaks are rare enough that you dont really need to do anything to prepare for them. The best way to prepare is to not use one at all, other than...
AIOs do not leak very often. Honestly, I would just go out and buy a Bequiet DR4 but if you want to keep the AIO there really isn't much risk associated with AIOS anymore.

Covering the back of the card probably is not going to help much in the event of a leak. It probably wont do a lot for temps tho.

so my idea is sort of ok? ill just cover it with sticker then? would stickers short or damage the gpu? especially that im putting one on the pcie slot. I'm pointing out stickers that come from the freebies of buying a gpu/motherboard etc.
