Do current Haswell-E prosessors only support DDR4 memory at 1333 1600 and 2133 MHz.

I am looking at building a x99 gaming and editing rig with the highest end Haswell-E prosessor but I noticed that when it says DDR4 RAM it says 1333, 1600 and 2133 MHZ. So does that mean that it can only support DDR4 memory clocked at that speed.

are you sure that's DDR4 and not DDR3 your looking at? AFAIK the minimum JDEC speed for DDR4 is 2133 but there are a lot of kits above and beyond that spec (eg.2666,2800,3000mhz)

It says DDR4 and then 1333, 1600, 2100. I didn't think x99 supported DDR3. Here's the haswell-e processor that I am looking into. ark.intel.com/m/products/82930/Intel-Core-i7-5960X-Processor-Extreme-Edition-20M-Cache-up-to-3_50-GHz#@product/specifications

Sorry I was referencing the x99 chipset as the Haswell-E CPU's because they are the only CPUs that use the x99 chipset.
