I'm running low on hard drive space on my laptop and im gonna build a new desktop so i dont really need the one i have now and i was wondering if the HDD from it would work on my laptop, any and all help is greatly appreciated
A "desktop" hard drive, formally a 3.5" drive, is too big to physically fit in a laptop chassis though otherwise it would work. You can put laptop hard drives in desktops, since adapting a smaller drive for a larger slot doesn't break the laws of physics! This is how a most SSDs are fitted into desktops.
