Question Do eSATA to USB3 adapter cables work?

The USB3 connector on my drive enclosure has failed. I have to bend the cable up to get power working. Probably solder cracked… either way the connection is shot. The enclosure has other options - like eSATA. Am I better off getting a new enclosure or will an eSATA to USB3 adapter cable work?

No real price difference.
