i have an i7 4770k it has intel 4600 hd graphics its good bt nt the best

so i am planning to get the amd r9 280 3gb graphic card

my question is my cpu right nw without the graphic card touches 60 to 65c while gaming
playing games like
farcry 4,
battlefield4
cod 4 advance warfare cpu is (80c) at 100% load so i dnt play this game now
1) so will installing a graphic card reduce load on my cpu or it will be the same will the cpu temps come down will the load get distributed ???

question 2
now imagine i installed the gpu now while gaming does the cpu use its own graphics + the gpu graphics or now as the gpu is installed everything is done by it

eg my gpu is 3gb and inbuilt graphics is 1.7gb so now will i have 4.7 gb graphics in total or its just 3gb of the gpu ??

3)
see i am planning to buy the cooler master sedion 120v but the problem is that the cooler has one 4 pin connector for the fan\radiator and a the water pump has a connection of 3 pins but i searched everywhere on my motherboard i cant find a 3 pin connector for the pump and all watercoolers alomost have the 3 pin connection so does that mean that an advance motherboard like z87k wont support water cooling

Solution

Its fine, but personally I would buy a molex to 3 pin adaptor so you can run the pump directly off the PSU, it tends to work better. Run the radiator fan off the CPU_FAN 4 pin.
When you install a dedicated gpu ( r9 280) it will take over all graphics function from the cpu (i7). They will not work together, the gpu will do all the graphics. Those temperatures are high but not unheard of for that chip (i7) Personally i would look into a new cpu cooler, such as a hyper 212 evo at the minimum. Is your cpu overclocked? I would not run a 280 and an overclocked i7 (if it is overclocked) on the psu you list in your signature. And the psu in your signature does not have enough connections to power an r9 280.

my psu is by an indian brand called vip its 500w it has 1 8 pin and 1 6 pin power connector r9 280 by sapphire needs 2 6 pins so i am fine i already had a thread for that im done with that check

what shd be the temperature of the cpu while gaming do these coolers actually work or its a waste of money because i bought arctic silver 5 to reduce temps 5 months back it just did nothing

and will a gpu reduce load on my cpu as the cpu part of graphics will be done by the gpu so will the temps be low ??

Thermal paste won't do anything if your Heatsink isn't cooling the CPU fast enough, which is probably what you are experiencing that your arctic silver 5 isn't doing anything.

A better heatsink would knock a few degrees off your CPU at least. I use Phantek's PH-TC12DX and my 4790k burn test were steady around 60's, mostly within 50~70C/

and the psu thing even i am not sure now does america have a brand called vip as i searched it online i didnt find shit for vip i found vip underwears

on my psu its written VIP GOLD PSU 500W

I would purchase a new psu, from what I have found on other threads, the vip 500w psu is a relabled FSP Blue Storm 460w. the 3 pin pump connector can be plugged into a 4 pin socket on the motherboard. This will not cause any harm as the pump will always be running at max speed anyway and does not need PWM. This thread discusses your psu http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1831026/iball-500w-psu-work-perfectly-config.html
And here is an explanation of the different fan connectors http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2460661/plugging-pin-water-cooler-pump-fans-pin-headers.html
