Question Do GTX Cards Work On FreeSync Monitors Now?

GTX1000 series and above, to be exact. Yes they were announced early this year.

Yeah, but you will have to go into the Nvidi control panel to turn it on if it is not one of the "official" free sync displays. But it will still work.

It is probably the game. I have not played it, but most AAA games are pretty buggy at launch these days. Keeping the drivers updated is your best option.
