[SOLVED] Do I buy a new pc or upgrade it

I am confused about two options for play games in 1440p
options one buy a new pc
options tow upgrade the gpu only to 2080 super or 2070 super
What option do you suggest to me ?

Honestly, I think your CPU is still viable. You should be just fine upgrading your GPU to either of the GPUs you've stated. I think the 2070 Super would make for a very balanced system for 1440p gaming. You might even be fine with the 2080 Super. Your CPU shouldn't hold back the 2080 Super at 1440p, and if you can manage to get a 4 GHz overclock on your current CPU I don't think you'll have any problems at all.

Sure you could get a more powerful CPU in something like an i5 9600K or Ryzen 5 3600X, but we are only talking about a 25%-ish improvement in CPU performance, and I wouldn't hesitate to pair one of those with a 2080 Super. Also, a 21%-27% improvement isn't really worth the money you'd spend. You'd have to get something like an i9 9900KS for an upgrade to make sense from a performance standpoint (40%)... and at that price it just doesn't make sense at all.

So, I'd go with just a GPU upgrade and maybe an overclock.
