Do I connect new device using WPS to router or to the extender, which is closer?

I have a Cisco Linksy E4200 and a Cisco RE1000 extender. I want to connect my TiVo wireless n adapter using WPS but am not sure if I should connect using the WPS button on router or extender. The extender is closest to the location. Thanks,

WPS has security issues. It is recommended to DISABLE WPS on all routers/extenders for enhanced security.

Kanewolf is correct WPS is not secure and you will need to use WPA II. If the extender is closer then connect with it.

I never use to WPS to connect anyway, almost never works, total waste of time. Selecting the network & putting wireless key in manually is easy enough.
