Do I desktop or network for games?

this is confusing, there are settings in WIndows that allow changing from Desktop type to Network server type, Network thingy allows more memory for files, but less for other apps? so if I wonna more RAM for games then I should set back to DESKTOP or leave at NETWORK? I have 448Mb of pc133 CAS2.5

stick it on network server and leave it there..that is the best all around setting..
