Parts:
i5 4690k 3.6 ghz
Nvidia GTX 770 Reference
8 GB DDR3 Ram
Gigabyte H81M-HD2 Motherboard
3 120 mm fans
I bought a EVGA 500B for it which has 480 W continuous power on the 12 V rail and 40 amps
Would it be enough to power this system I will mostly use it for gaming

Solution

Yeah they are very similar both aren't very good. It will certainly work but like i said its low quality, it uses cheap capacitors that are known to degrade quickly. It will be fine for the time being I would recommend you upgrade to something better whenever you get the chance. Dont overclock anything.

hmm wat do you recommend me to get I can probably get a new one in about 2 months. You think it will degrade by 2 months if i use it like 8 hours a day?

I disagree about the evga b1's being low quality personally.
They're budget models yes , & with teapo caps which is not the issue it was 5 years ago - they're far better quality than they used to be.
Those components are going to pull 330w with everything maxed out - there's no reason that PSU won't last 5 years at that kind of usage.
Would you have been better off spending $20 more on a xfx 550 - yes
Do I think you should worry about running what you have on that 500b ? - no , it'll manage them easily & be barely stressed.

Yeah your probably right. I just read a johnnyguru review on it, doesn't seem to be as bad as I thought.
