I built my computer a couple years ago and recently upgraded to a 780ti and 3570k.
I have a 3570k on a corsair h100 with push/pull coolermaster jet flow fans. and no matter how much I try I can't get it past 4.5 ghz without it not booting, to be stable at 4.5 ghz I have it at 1.4voltage ( it won't stay stable at any lower voltage without bsod or freezing) without vdroop and pll over voltage enabled. I ran prime 12 hours with it at 4.5ghz/ 1.4 voltage and it's max temps are 77c. I delidded it to lower temps more. Do I just have a ***** 3570k? Also I have a evga z68 sli motherboard.
System spec-
Evga z68 sli motherboard, 16 gb 1600 corsair vengeance ram, evga gtx 780ti classified overclocked to 1311core7950mem, evga 750g2 power supply, 1tb wd black hdd, and thermaltake level 10 gt case

Solution
My max temp before delidding was 93c now they are 78c, so yeah!!

All else being equal, good job !!
Max on a 3570k being 93 was pretty damn bad, though. At 100% Prime95, after hours of running, mine has never broached 70c. No overclock, though.

But for moving to a 4670k? Probably not worth the money. You would see a very little if any improvement.

@USAFret I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic with me when you say "yeah ok..." After the delidding explanation. I did it and used liquid ultra, lowered temps some, I guess I'm wondering if there's a way I can force it to boot past 1.425 voltage?? Heat isn't really a issue

Do you think it's worth it to upgrade to a new motherboard and a 4670k? The only reason I got this 3570k was because my buddy sold me it cheap. I had a 2500k before this and I really wish I still had it haha. I guess I'm asking whether it's worth it. Sorry for my grammar. I text a lot and I've gotten bad about abbreviating things haha

Thanks! and I see i see. 93 was high, I only delidded it because I thought it would let me up voltage more and get a higher clock. So disappointed with this chip. Anyways thanks for all the help!!
