So i need some advice... My pc has been locking up lately,at random times the picture just freezes and if any soun is playing in the backgrount it just goes into a loop of trrrrrr or something. I was pretty sure its the mobo that needs to be changed out but then i did a firestrike test and i noticed that it wont display my fourth ram module in the results section but its still displaying that i do hava all 16gb of ram, just not the slot. I have 4x4gb of ddr4 LPX ram on my msi z170a gamingpro mobo. I ran the windows memory diagnostic tool to check for errors but it didnt find any. I did also get a MACHINE CHECK EXEPTION error once, inbetween the freezings. Do you think its not showing the ram slot because the mobo is faulty or because the ram stick is faulty? My psu is a Corsair RM1000 and i tend to think thats not the problem, but who knows. Any advice is apreciated. http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/11371193?

1| Please list out your full system's specs inclusive of your OS and connected peripherals. If you're on Windows 10, please disable automatic device driver updates.
2| Have you made sure your BIOS is up to date?
3| To verify your ram and/or your motherboard slot is faulty you must run memtest86 for at least 10 passes per stick per slot. You can double down on the test by having the sticks that passed the test to go into your supposedly faulty stick of ram on a working slot on your motherboard.

It's at this point that you can short list the culprit to the motherboard or the ram slot. I would say that the PSU is overkill but once we learn of your system's specs, it shall be verified if it truly is or isn't.

Well it turned out to be the horrible nvidia drivers that were making a ton of trouble a couple months back. Updated those and the problem has all but disappeared. Sometimes rarely the colors are blurry and messed up but it's very rare. I think the bad drivers just gave my gpu's a punch in the stomach. Il be really careful next time I dl new drivers
