i just want opinions on my pc setup i wanna know if it is a good gaming pc

Specs:

cpu: intel qaudcore q9550s

Gpu: ati radeon 5870 1gb ddr5

memory: 2 X 2GB ddr 2 800 mhz

motherboard: intel dg31pr

psu:corsair gs 600

screen:23 inch led full hd samsung syncmaster bx2331

chassis: cm storm scout

cpu fan: coolermaster v6gt

accesories:razer death adder mouse

no not at all i dont want to im aiming at using it longterm but i am looking to change my mboard if u have any good suggestions for a board plz reply

I see. Well, here's the thing. OCing can give you a BIG boost in performance, with no danger to your parts if done correctly.

As for the board, i agree it's very barebones. However, when you make a mobo switch you have to reinstall the OS. So, that would mean a total makeover of your PC. You ok with doing that?

yes im fine with formatting do it every 3 months < yes my board is a bit old but works awesome but i am looking at the future so uhm do u think my pc as is wil run bf3 on full ?

Do you want a new board so you can xfire? If that's the only reason I don't think it's worth it.

If you want a full upgrade to sandybridge, then I suppose you could get a GA-Z68X-UD3-B3 and a 2500k.

Tbh, if you can play all your games at the resolution you want right now, I don't see the need to upgrade. Unless of course you are sitting on a pile of cash and are really bored.

If you upgrade your mobo you would need to get a new cpu, since the only reasonable type of mobo to buy now is an 1155. You're looking at a $300-400 upgrade cost, and that's not including the possibility of another video card, or the psu upgrade you would need since your psu only has enough 6-pins for one 5870.

Do you understand where this is going?
