Hello,

I recently built myself a new PC and used the PSU from my old PC. Here are my new system details:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600x
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
Motherboard: AB350 M-HDV

When using it noremally, it works pretty well, but the problem is, the moment I start playing a decent heavy game (Darksiders), the computer will shut off within 5 mins. My PSU is 500w, is that too little? could that be the problem? it doesnt seem like the GPU or CPU are overheating as well, doesnt seem like it, but I could be wrong. Anyways, my theory is that the problem lies with the PSU, let me know if you think that's the case too and let me know what you think I should get as a replacement PSU. Thanks guys :)

You have a SilverStone Strider Essential - https://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=362&area=en

Here's a PSU Tier List to give you a general idea of the build quality of a lot of different PSUs.

SilverStone Strider Essential is Tier 6, so not very good if you're wanting to power a gaming system.

If you want to upgrade, even a good quality 450W unit would be better than your lower quality 500W unit.
