Hi there! I got this motherboard that's labeled on PCB as ASUS PRIME H310M-C, but I noticed there's 2 motherboards that are labeled as ASUS PRIME H310M-C, namely:
  1. ASUS PRIME H310M-C
  2. ASUS PRIME H310M-C/CSM
This can be noticed by accessing the two links above and by having a look at the pictures of the motherboard. The problem is the 2 motherboards seem to have different drivers. At the moment I have installed the drivers for ASUS PRIME H310M-C on W10 64, but I have some crashing problems with my OS.

Both CPU-Z and HWiNFO64 report the motherboard as being ASUS PRIME H310M-C, but what if ASUS PRIME H310M-C/CSM shows up as ASUS PRIME H310M-C?

Can you please help me identify which of the two motherboards I have? And can you also show me how have you done it?

Thank you!

Thank you!

This is what that command reports when CMD is run as Administrator:

Manufacturer Model Name PartNumber SerialNumber ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Base Board 180425572600382

When this command:

Get-WmiObject win32_baseboard | Format-List Product,Manufacturer,SerialNumber,Version

is run in Powershell (Administrator), this is what I get:

Product : PRIME H310M-C Manufacturer : ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. SerialNumber : 180425572600382 Version : Rev X.0x

Does the serial number help in telling what mobo it is?

Try the ASUS website.

Look for warranty, product information, documentation, or anything where you are prompted for the SerialNumber.

Powershell indicates PRIME H310M-C.

CSM (Corporate Stable Model)

https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-h310m-c-csm/

From the link:

" Each purchase of an ASUS CSM motherboard comes with ASUS Control Center Express - server-grade IT management software. "

Any signs of "server-grade IT management software"?

Overall I would expect that the motherboard is PRIME H310-C.

Also from the link:

https://www.asus.com/microsite/csm/

Note:

"ASUS motherboards, including Pro, PRIME CSM, and workstation series, are bundled with ASUS Control Center Express software worth US$60 to give you a fully comprehensive IT solution. "

Look at the 'Features' list (scroll down a bit) as well.

Although the absence of software is not a sure identifier there may be other clues and hints that you will recognize.

https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-h310m-c-csm/techspec/

Seems to be the same physical motherboard. Difference being the addition of software for CSM.

And more links within that link. For example follow: "See all CSM....."

I'm sorry for the late reply, as I was busy looking for more answers.

I finally found out what mobo I have by downloading the ASUS software for installing drivers and there it has shown as being PRIME H310-C, it has also provided me with a S/N. Using that S/N I contacted ASUS support on Facebook to double check, and indeed it is a PRIME H310-C mobo.

The S/N I got in the ASUS software was J4M0CS216962.

Thank you for all the help! :)
