[SOLVED] Do I have enough power supply for the new RTX 3070?

I have a SeaSonic X Series X650 Gold (SS-650KM Active PFC F3) PSU. I'm runnning an i7-3770k overclocked to 4.5ghz with a GTX n660 GPU.

I did some power draw testing using one of those Kill-A-Watt meters:

• Prime95 running 100% on all 8 threads = 145 watts draw
• Gaming on ultra settings = 200 watts draw
• Game on ultra settings + Prime 95 running 100% on all 8 threads = 250 watts draw

This PSU is rated 80 PLUS GOLD, so 650 X 80% = 520 watts available to draw (is this how I calculate it?).

Seems like I should have ample headroom, but from what I've read, a 750W PSU is recommended with newer CPUs.

Will I be ok with this setup? I looked up the 3070 vs 660 TDPs. It appears the 3070 will draw an additional 80 watts. So if I'm drawing 330 watts with 520 available (and I know what I'm doing here and my math is correct), will I be fine?

This PSU is rated 80 PLUS GOLD, so 650 X 80% = 520 watts available to draw (is this how I calculate it?).

That is incorrect and has nothing to do with anything.

650W is the DC output capability of the PSU. Not the max it can draw from the wall.

The real question is, how old is it? That model came out a long time ago.
