I have a custom gaming computer I put together this past February. I just updated the CPU from a i3 6100 to a i5 6600k.

Gigabyte LGA1151 Intel H110 Micro ATX DDR4 Motherboard GA-H110M-A
Gigabyte Nvidia G1 GTX 960 4GB GPU
16GB DDR4 RAM
1 SSD Drive
1 Mechanical Drive
Corsair Hydro H55 CPU Cooler
1 200m Fan
3 120m Fans

PSU is EVGA 500W 80plus certified

I used the Outervision calculator and it recommended this power supply which I currently have in my system. https://amzn.com/B00H33SFJU

Load Wattage: 314 W
Recommended UPS rating: 650 VA
Recommended PSU Wattage: 364 W

I noticed I have FPS drops after staying stable at a certain number for a few hours. I have GPUZ up and PefCap Reason gave me Power. Im not sure if my issue is power related or not

Also, I notice my GPU fan doesn't kick on until it is 65c. I don't think it is overheating because I am not getting no warnings or crashes. Any ideas or suggestions what my issue could be?

Solution

1) Probably just a poorly programmed game that has some sort of memory leak (slows down the entire system, so fps drops)
2) If ALL games do that, it's likely temperature related
